The Little Big Horn Associates holds an annual conference, located only at sites of historical significance to the life and times of General George A. Custer. Locations must alternate between East and West of the Mississippi River in even and odd numbered years, respectively.

The 2025 conference will be held in Kansas City, MO July 24-26. It will be the 51st annual conference. The conference will be co-hosted by Lee Wymore and Lowell Smith. Watch the LBHA Newsletter for updates and registration forms for the conference beginning in December 2024.

Members of the LBHA visited the Michigan Cavalry Brigade Monument during the 2024 Gettysburg conference after a tour of East Cavalry Field. Brigadier General George Custer and the Michigan Brigade turned back the Confederate Cavalry under the command of General JEB Stuart. This took place on July 3, 1863 while Pickett’s Charge was taking place on the main battlefield.

LBHA 2012 Conference in Gettysburg, PA - The late Myron Steves with his grandaughter Lori Pack. Myron was married to Maria Benteen Steves, who was the grandaughter of Captain Frederick Benteen who served with the Seventh Cavalry at the Little Bighorn.
